The Ball

The Irish Charity Ball has been a much-anticipated fixture and highlight of the Brussels social calendar for several decades.

Organised by the Irish Club of Belgium under the patronage of the Irish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, the annual ball is a black-tie event that takes place on the Saturday nearest to, and in celebration of, St Patrick’s Day, Ireland’s internationally-celebrated national holiday.

The ball includes a champagne reception, a three-course silver-service dinner, live music, dancing, DJ and an open bar.

As a charity event, the ball raises funds for several children's charities both in Belgium and Ireland: Salus Sanguinis, Jack and Jill Foundation, and Ecole Chanterelle.

In 2024, we raised over €6,000 for our selected charities.
